ACCELERATED READING CHALLENGE - JAN. 2022
Our Key Stage 3 pupils recently finished a four week Accelerated Reading challenge where after reading a book of their choice they completed an online quiz and had their results recorded. Literacy coordinator, Mrs. Sheridan said “The response to our focused reading challenge was amazing and the increase in books being read from our school library during this period was very encouraging. The pupils featured in the photographs all scored 85% or more in their Accelerated Reading quizzes, well done everyone, we are so proud of you all. I hope their love of reading for enjoyment inspires others to do the same”.
PROMOTING PERSONAL EXCELLENCE
Congratulations once again to our Yr. 8 pupil Grace McAteer 8BMC, on her amazing achievement of having read another 1 Million words. Grace has read over 2 Million words in total this term through our Accelerated Reading programme.
